PAC Food Forum

Palo Alto Community,

How many diets have you tried? Are you still scratching your head about what’s healthy to eat and what’s not? Ever wonder what others are going through, or what they’ve figured out about healthy, high-energy eating? Are you still struggling to be disciplined about what you eat? None of us has all the answers to our questions about food and diet, but together we might figure out some of these things for ourselves.

Come to the kick-off of the PAC Food Forum, a discussion and study group on food, diet and nutrition, sponsored by the PAC Wellness Committee. Bring something to eat for lunch, and your thoughts about the topics you would like the group to take up. We’ll decide on these together. (What’s in YOUR brown bag?)

What: PAC Food Forum
When: Thursday, Feb. 25, noon--1:00pm
Where: Ozuna 206 conference room
Who: facilitated by Irene Scharf & Peter Van Dusen

PAC Offers free PC Clinic at ATC

When technology glitches have you stumped, who can you turn to?

Alamo Colleges faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the Palo Alto College free PC Clinic at the Advanced Technology Center.

Troubleshooting and technical support will be provided by students and instructors of PAC's CompTIA A+ Computer Repair Certification Training Program.

The PC clinic will be held at Port of San Antonio (formerly Kelly AFB), at 312 Clarence Tinker Drive, on Saturday February 13th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Anyone who is interested in bringing a computer(s) for servicing should read, complete and sign the PC Clinic Trouble Sheet, which is downloadable from the following location . . .

http://www.accd.edu/pac/htm/Community/ce/pdf/CompTIA/PC_Trouble_Ticket.pdf

You will need to bring the completed trouble sheet, the main computer box and your software, especially your Windows, Microsoft Office and driver disks.

Work areas will already be set up with monitors, keyboards and mice.

Note that you will need to bring the appropriate power supply and cord for laptop or notebook computers.

Due to the large number of attendees each month, our technicians may not be able to service every computer at Saturday's event. This is especially true for participants bringing multiple computers.

For more information about the free PC Clinic or the CompTIA A+ Certification Training Program at Palo Alto College, contact Aaron Ellis by phone at 486-3412 or via e-mail at aellis43@alamo.edu.
