Enrollment at the Alamo Colleges continues to grow in double digits, with a spring 2010 credit enrollment of 59,513 students, an increase of 12.1% over spring 2009 and the highest enrollment ever attained for any spring semester! This follows an enrollment increase of 11.9% in fall 2009.
“Our exceptional enrollment growth reflects the outstanding value that a top quality education at the Alamo Colleges has in the eyes of our students and the community,” said Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Bruce H. Leslie. “All of us, from the Board of Trustees to the administration, faculty and staff are dedicated to increasing the retention rate of our students from one semester to the next and to ensuring that our students meet their higher education goals,” he added.
Spring 2010 credit enrollment at each of the Alamo Colleges is:
Total credit enrollment 59,513
• San Antonio College 21,589 - up 7.2%
• St. Philip’s College 10,731 - up 9.9%
• Palo Alto College 8,047 - up 6.2%
• Northwest Vista College 14,584 - up 23.9%
• Northeast Lakeview College 4,562 - up 18.9%
