PALO ALTO COLLEGE TO HOST PACfest 2008

SAN ANTONIO—Palo Alto College will celebrate PACfest 2008, an official Fiesta San Antonio event, on Thursday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The alcohol-free event is family oriented, and admission is free.

PACfest is held in the Central Courtyard of the campus and features food and novelty booths, as well as live entertainment and games. The opening ceremony is at 11 a.m. A children’s area will have continuous activities from Noon—6 p.m. in the Student Center.

David Lee Garza y Los Musicales will headline the day’s musical entertainment with a performance at 6:30 p.m. Also performing throughout the day will be Piñata Protest at 11:30 a.m., Kevin Goes 2 College at 1:30 p.m., Nothing More at 2:30 p.m., and Clint Taft and the Buck Wild Band at 4:30 p.m.

“The PACfest Committee has gone through great efforts to ensure a dynamic entertainment ensemble,” said Vincent Bosquez, PACfest Co-Chair. “We have spared no expense in bringing some of the finest musical talents in South Texas to Palo Alto College for the enjoyment of our surrounding community. And best of all, admission is free!”

PAC student groups on the line-up include Mariachi Palomino, Conjunto Palo Alto and the PAC Jazz Ensemble.

Fiesta Royalty is also scheduled to appear throughout the day.
