29th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival Poster Contest

Dear Friends and Artists,

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is seeking talented visual artists and graphic designers to participate in the 29th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival Poster Contest.

The purpose of the poster contest is to: 1) select the official poster for the 29th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival which will be held on May 11-15, 2010, and to help promote the event; 2) recognize our community¹s talented young artists and graphic designers; and 3) to educate and create an awareness and appreciation for that unique Mexican-American cultural and musical tradition known as Conjunto.

The participating artists and posters will be judged in four categories: Jr.High, High School, College and Open. The Overall Winner will receive a $1,000.00 cash award and the winning selection will become the official poster for the 29th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival. Cash prizes will also be given to the Top Selection and Honorable Mention in each of the categories mentioned above.
