Express-News' 2009 Top Stories of the Year

In yesterday's Metro Section of the San Antonio Express-News, the paper listed its "Top 10" stories of the year.

Number four on the list was "Julian Castro wins mayor's race." The PAC connection with this story is that the mayor's mom--Rosie Castro--is the Director of the Center for Academic Transitions.

Number eight on the list was "Local Little League team makes the big time." The PAC connection with this story is that the coach of the McAllister Parl All-Stars, Mike Shull, is the son of Ellen Shull, a professor of English at PAC, and editor of the Palo Alto Review. Her grandson, John Shull, was also a member of the team.
