PAC Fall Enrollment Campaign
The Department of Public Relations would like to bring you up-to-date on PAC’s Fall Enrollment Campaign:
Print—Two types of “Register Now” ads have been running in the Southside Reporter (Thursdays) and La Prensa (Sundays) since June. Both ads may be viewed by going to the PAC homepage and “clicking” on the photo link located in the lower left corner of the page.
Print ads have also been published in the Southside and Westside Sol.
Print ads will continue running until the week of August. 25.
Internet—An email blast entitled “Register Now for Fall Semester” was sent to more than 13,000 southside email addresses on July 9. A second email blast will be sent August 6. You should have received a copy of this email blast to forward to everyone on your listserv as a PACall sent by me on July 9. If you did not receive the PACall, please respond to this email and let me know.
Palo Alto College has also been a sponsor of the “Education” internet section of www.MySA.com (San Antonio Express-News website) since June 17. Click on the link and type in the keyword Education. It will take you to our sponsorship page. We are currently scheduled to be sponsors of this page until mid-August.
Radio—PAC aired two weeks of radio ads on KBBT (The Beat) from June 16-30. We are scheduled to run three weeks of radio ads on KTFM beginning July 28 and ending Aug. 17.
Billboards—There is a three phase billboard campaign underway with Clear Channel Outdoor. Sixteen junior billboards (6x12) were first posted on June 18 at various locations in the southside. One July 18, an additional 16 billboards will be erected at different locations. And on August 18 an additional 16 billboards will go up. If no one contracts for the PAC billboards that are currently running, they will remain posted until another business “buys” the board space. There is a possibility that up to 48 PAC billboards will be posted throughout the southside by mid-August!
Street Banners—PAC currently has four street banners that have been on display since June 2 and the majority are scheduled to remain until the first week of August (I’m told there is a city ordinance that limits the amount of time a banner can be displayed). Look for the banners at Southcross and Kyle; Nogalitos and Theo; Medina Base Road and Holm; and S.W. Military Dr. and New Laredo Highway.
PAC Homepage—We have posted videos on various educational programs available at Palo Alto College. To view the videos, go to the PAC homepage and under “Campus News,” click on “PAC Online Video Gallery.”
PAC’s enrollment campaign supplements the District’s campaign: 2,000 TV spots; 1,000 radio spots; and print and digital advertising that will run through the third week of August.
