Alternative Teacher Certification Program

The Alternative Teacher Certification Program at Palo Alto College is currently accepting applications for its Spring 2008 cohort, which begins on Jan. 14. A Bachelor’s degree is required to be considered. The teacher certification program offers teaching certificates in the following content areas: English Language Arts and Reading, grades 4-8 and grades 8-12; Science, grades 8-12; EC-4 Generalist, and Career and Technology Education (CATE), grades 6-12. Online classes are available in EC-4 to those who qualify.

Cost of the program is $5,000, and a payment plan is available as well as Sallie Mae and other Continuing Education Loans.
