Mariachi Palomino at Sunset Station

MARIACHI PALOMINO ‘WOWS’ CROWD DURING
FIESTA COMMSSION NEWS CONFERENCE
AT SUNSET STATION

SUNSET STATION—For many, it was like Fiesta in November when hundreds of revelers gathered at Sunset Station to celebrate the results of a study that reported the annual economic impact of the 10-day Fiesta San Antonio event is more than $284 million, placing it among the top three revenue producing celebrations nationwide.

Adding music to the festive occasion was Palo Alto College’s Mariachi Palomino, which was staged on the Sunset Station staircase, adding flair and merriment to the occasion.

Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed personally thanked each member of the student ensemble on behalf of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission upon the conclusion of Mariachi Palomino’s hour-long set, remarking that their performance “really made the news conference special.”

Palo Alto College has been a Participating Member Organization (PMO) of the San Antonio Fiesta Commission since 2004.
