Summer Career Discovery Camps

Classes are filling quickly for PAC's Summer 2010 Career Discovery Camps for high school students!

Opening only remain in:

Landscape and Horticulture--If you're interested in growing plants, creating beautiful landscapes, being in a plant-related business, landscape design/landscape architecture, or improving the environment, then this camp is for you! Program highlights include hands-on application in our on-campus greenhouses, nurseries and ground facilities, and field trips to area nurseries and botanical gardens.

Business/Logistics Cluster--If you're interested in the movement of goods and services, the operations of a business, or just how things get to the store for you to buy them, here is the place to start. You will have the opportunity to learn from people who work in the business and logistics fields. You willl also get to play a computer simulation that allows you to learn first-hand how logistics works in our world.

Education Cluster--If you're interested in the teaching profession or assisting in the classroom, then this camp is for you. Each day creates activites letting you experience the unique insights to learning and exploring the skills you bring to the profession in today's world.

This is a grant funded course, so tuition is FREE! It is available to high school students between the ages of 15-18. The camps start on Monday, June 7 and last two weeks, and end June. 17. the camps will meet Monday thru Thursday from 8 a.m. to Noon.
