PACFEST 2008!!!

Palo Alto College will celebrate PACfest 2008, an official Fiesta San Antonio event, on Thursday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The alcohol-free event is family oriented, and admission is free.

PACfest is held in the Central Courtyard of the campus and features food and novelty booths, as well as live entertainment and games. The opening ceremony is at 11 a.m.

David Lee Garza y Los Musicales will headline the day’s musical entertainment with a performance at 6:30 p.m. Also performing throughout the day will be Piñata Protest at 11:30 a.m., Kevin Goes 2 College at 1:30 p.m., Nothing More at 2:30 p.m., and Clint Taft and the Buck Wild Band at 4:30 p.m.

PAC student groups on the line-up include Mariachi Palomino, Conjunto Palo Alto, the International Social Dance Club, a skit performance led by Chuck Squire, and a performance by the PAC Dance Performance Group. There will also be a special performance by the Somerset Mariachi Ensemble featuring Mariachi Unica, and the Bouncing Tigers Jump Rope Team.

El Rey Feo and his court will be on campus at 2 p.m., and additional Fiesta Royalty is also scheduled to appear throughout the day.
